Human Rights Defenders
We work with organizations and individuals exercising their fundamental right to freedom of expression, association, and assembly. We collaborate with them through our "Decentralized Archivist Communities" (DACs) program that stewards and promotes secure, decentralized archiving efforts to ensure eyewitness documentation is safe and accessible for the long term.
Through this program DACs learn how to better streamline and secure their mobile-to-server archiving processes when intaking media from the field.
Public Interest Media
We support independent, investigative and public interest media organizations with secure, verified archiving tools. Our resources enable people to send authenticated media directly to public archives and newsrooms. We help newsrooms collaborate with their communities to build public collections of trustworthy eyewitness media for stories and broadcasts—strengthening the connection between media organizations and the people they serve.
Legal Advocates
We help build accessible, secure, verified evidentiary media archives for transformative justice. Our tools enable lawyers and legal teams to authenticate and preserve multimedia evidence with documented chain of custody, supporting human rights litigation, accountability campaigns and community legal work.
Cultural Heritage Collections
We partner with archivists, community archives, and memory workers to preserve mobile media for the long term.
Through workshops, needs assessments, and workflow development, we help institutions integrate Save into their collections—streamlining intake and safeguarding community-documented histories.
